Delete Your Approach Data
You have full control over your data. Use the in-app deletion tool for immediate removal, or contact us by email if you no longer have access to the app.
Delete in the app Recommended
The fastest way to delete your data. Deletion is immediate and requires no waiting period.
- 1Open the Approach app.
- 2Go to the Field tab.
- 3Tap the gear icon to open Settings.
- 4Scroll to the very bottom and tap Delete Account.
- 5Confirm when prompted.
What this deletes immediately:
- Your Firebase Authentication account (Google or Sign in with Apple)
- Your leaderboard profile from our Firebase Firestore database
- Data stored on your device — progress, sessions, stats, and notification settings
Request deletion by email
If you can no longer access the app, you can request deletion by email. We respond within 30 days.
Send an email to mars.v.niekerk@gmail.com with the subject line Data Deletion Request.
Include any details that help us identify your account (e.g., the animal nickname displayed on your leaderboard profile, approximate sign-up date, or device type).
What data is deleted vs. retained

Analytics and purchase data is held by third-party providers under their own retention policies. Email us to initiate a deletion request with each provider on your behalf.
